SERIES: TOUGH QUESTIONS
Where is God? Is faith nonsense? What about the dinosaurs? Is the Bible reliable? Is Jesus the only way? Most of us have probably asked, or at least thought about these questions at one time in our life. Questions like this don’t always have straight-forward answers … yet they demand some answers. In this summer series we will be tackling some of these “Tough Questions”. Join us for this new 4-week series beginning on August 15th.
August 15 – How Do I Respond to Life’s Tough Questions?
August 22 – How Did the Universe Begin?
August 29 – What about Noah, Dinosaurs and Other Things?
September 5 – How is Jesus Unique?

LEADERSHIP RETREAT AUGUST 28th AT POMONA LAKE
If you serve in any way here at New Life Family
Church … you are part
of the team and are
contributing to the ministry and leadership of this church and you are invited to be part of this exciting day. We will be evaluating our journey through our Healthy Growing Church’s Covenant and will explore and look at things we need to do in the next 2-3 years to continue to reach the 5 Strategic Objectives in that Covenant. You’ll be fully updated on where we are and where we are going in the future. I hope you will carve out some time to be part of this retreat. Please RSVP on the back of your Welcome Card or email Pastor Ralph. That will help us in our planning.
Women's Bible Study
Begins September 8th at 6:30pm at the home of Avayd. Join us for this Beth Moore study, "Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith. Call the church office for more information on this study. Avayd will pick up workbooks for anyone who has given her $16.25 by Sunday, Sept. 5.

Children's Minisry Meeting ... Sept. 19th, Noon
This meeting is for for helpers, volunteers, and others who may want to start getting involved, ask questions and get more info on this exciting ministry. With the larger numbers of kids we also need more teachers and helpers. Besides teaching, folks are needed to help prepare crafts, work with puppets, and cover other areas outside of the classroom. If you’d like to help in any way, Contact the church office at 913-262-8048 or Jacob Eaton, Children’s Ministry Director at 913-839-3161,for more information. These little ones will bless you.
Monthly Kids Memory Verses
Parents as a reminder your kids are encouraged to memorize the verse of the month. For those children who memorize the verse and recite it to Jacob (with the reference) can choose any candy from the Candy Box. We have already given away a lot of candy and hope to give away more!
For those children who can recite the July, August AND
September’s memory verse before the end of September will receive a$5 gift card to McDonalds!!!! It pays to memorize God's word!

Worship Arts Ministry
The Worship Arts Ministry is a wonderful way for you to share the gifts and talents that God has given you, with others. You can serve in several ways … vocalist, band member, running the powerpoint computer, working the soundboard, manning the computer to record sermons, acting with the drama team, stage design, planning team and helping with other needs that come up.
We are developing
and growing our Video & Drama Teams.
If you are interested, this is a great time
to get in touch with us. We are always
looking for more vocalists and band members,
as well. If you play the bass guitar,
do we have a deal for you. You can
also serve … running the powerpoint
computer, working the soundboard, manning
the computer to record sermons, stage design
and planning. Contact Linda Hudson for more

Children's Ministry
If you've had the joy of watching and listening
to our kids share upstairs, you've also
seen just how much this ministry has grown.
What a blessing it is to continue to see
more and more kids coming to Children's
Church and learning about Jesus. But
with the larger numbers of kids we also

you can help by working with this ministry,
you are needed. There are ways you
can serve on this team without actually
teaching or being in the classroom.
